Overview
In both English and Spanish we use present progressive tense to express what someone is doing. In English we add (ing) to the end of a verb. In Spanish we use the correct form of the verb estar followed by the present tense of another verb.

Go through the slides above thoroughly and make sure that you understand what the present progressive is, how to form it in Spanish and which ones are irregular. Turn in the La Práctica 2 slide on Schoology.

Use the picture below and tell what each of the people are doing using the present progressive.
You should receive a copy of this worksheet with your school things. However, if you don’t get it or loose it, you may print one out from here.
Find 5 pictures and put them on a Google doc. They can be your pictures, or ones that you find on the internet. Put the pictures on a Google Doc and write 2 sentences for each picture. The first sentence needs to utilize what we learned in module 5.2 (estar with conditions and emotions). The second sentence needs to reflect what we are doing in this module (what they are doing). You will be turning this in on Schoology.
For example, if I refer to the picture below the learning path and talk about Sr. Morales.
- Sr. Morales está cansado.
- Sr. Morales está descansando en la playa.
